At least 8 people struck by gunfire in separate NYC shootings

A least eight people were struck by gunfire in separate shootings across the city on Monday night, sources said.

Five people were injured when gunshots rang out in Bushwick at around 8 p.m., according to law enforcement sources.

Three of the injured were taken to area hospitals. One was treated and the scene and another walked into the nearby 83rd Precinct station house. Their conditions were not immediately clear.

In Staten Island, two men were shot near 231 Steuben Street near the Park Hill Houses. They were taken to a nearby hospital.

One person was shot at 2360 Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway, Queens, according to sources.

 “The sun is out, so guns are out,” one Brooklyn cop said.
