This is probably the question that everyone’s been waiting to be answered. In an age where people crave for cheap options, you cannot really force people to go and book a luxury accommodation over cheap but quality hostels. It’s really really hard to convince tourists to consider staying in luxury hotels because most of them would rather use their money in different activities than spend them on hotels.

Ask yourself: Do you think hostels are killing the hotel industry? Or is it just a phase that will eventually go away in years time? Are hostels really killing the hotel industry?

In this article we stated some points that may help people. To know more, continue reading:

  • Hostels Are Cheaper

We all know that hostels are a lot cheaper and sometimes, their services are way better than some grand and luxurious hotels. The main problem in our word today is that there are so many high-profile people who are opportunists and most of them just want to milk people for money. Most people always go for hostels because they want to save money for food and activities they’ll be doing in their chosen destination.

  • Hotels Are Too Pricey

Fact. Hotels are too pricey and sometimes, it’s better to just go for cheaper options because in our world today, it’s really hard to earn money and spending 200 dollars for an overnight stay at a luxurious hotel will only make things worse for middle to low class families.

  • Hostels Are For Budget Travelers

Yes, hostels are indeed for budget travelers that is why they are always choosing them over big hotels. There’s nothing really wrong with it, it’s just that some people think that hostels are killing the hotel industry because they are far more famous than real hotels.

  • Hotels Are For Rich People

Yes and no. Yes because most people who are staying in luxury hotels are those who hold power in the government or those who are part of a rich family. No because even middle class families can take advantage of this for as long as they save money to be able to book a luxury accommodation.

  • Hostels And Hotels Are There For Each Other

At the end of the day, hostels and hotels just go around in circle and they are part of a single world where their only mission is to shelter people and make them feel at home at most times. It doesn’t matter now if hostels are killing the hotel industry or not, after all, everyone’s making money which could help support every member of the family of those who work in the industry.
